The Methodist Chapel stood on the south side of Main Street, just past the White Swan, which is on the north side. It ceased to be a place of Worship in the 1980’s and the building was finally sold in 1989. Find out what the building is used for now!
The Parish Church, dedicated to Our Lady, was largely built in the 12th century, with the South aisle being added in 1220. The church stands on high ground at the western end of the village; the road to Apethorpe follows the curve of the churchyard. The church now belongs to the Watersmete Benefice, which includes the neighbouring parishes of Apethorpe, Nassington, Thornaugh Yarwell and Wansford.
The Cemetery which is situated at the eastern end of Orchard Lane on the north side was opened in 1991 as the churchyard, attached to the parish church, had closed for further burials in 1989.
