Christopher John Pearson was  born in 1949. He gained the qualifications of GRSM LRAM ARCM at College. Christopher received his theological training at Oak Hill College in 1981. He was ordained as a deacon in 1984 and a priest in 1985 at Barton Seagrave with Warkton, where he stayed until 1986. His curacy was served at St Andrews, Kettering .

Christopher was Vicar of  Nassington with Yarwell and Woodnewton between 1988 and 1991. It was during this time that he would have been involved with the closure of the Primary School.  The numbers had depleted and the headmistress was due to retire so the Church of England  and the Education Authority made the decision to transfer the remaining children to other schools and to close the village school.  Also whilst Rev Pearson was the Vicar of this parish, he was involved with the Parish Council  in providing a new cemetery for the village as the churchyard was full.   The whole procedure took four years and the new burial ground was consecrated by the Bishop of Peterborough in October1991.

Rev Pearson then moved into Peterborough to become the Vicar of  St Marks, where he stayed until 2003.  A position of  Priest in Charge at Great Doddington and Wilby followed with Ecton joining his parishes from 2007.  Although, Chris did not move parish in 2012, the Benefice changed and he became Rector of the three parishes.    Before his retirement in 2021 he was Assistant Priest at Emmanuel Benefice of Churches in Northampton
