CSM, 9931, 2nd Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action 21st September 1918
FOX Arthur Walter
Private, 25186, 6th Northamptonshire Regiment. Killed in action Boom Ravine 17th February 1917
JACKSON Charles William
Private, G/14201, 7th The Queen’s Royal West Surrey Regiment. Killed in action 18th November 1916
The memorial to the fallen soldiers was made in the form of a stone base to an oak carved pulpit. This was designed by Charles A Bassett-Smith and made by Messrs L Andrews & Co of Westgate, Peterborough.
The pulpit was erected in the north side of the central area at the bottom of the chancel steps and to the side of the organ, which had been installed five years previously.
A dedication service was held in St Mary’s Church, on Sunday, 8th August 1920, and was attended by the vicar of Kings Cliffe and the parishioners
